Terms of Use

Last updated: 27 May 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Contact - Caller ID application ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App and uninstall it immediately.

2. Core Functionality

The App operates exclusively as a Caller ID and smart contact utility.

Caller ID Features: The App cross-references incoming numbers with your local phonebook and call logs to display a real-time Caller ID screen overlay during incoming calls.

Communication Features: The App provides an interface for managing contacts and initiating outgoing calls using your device's native cellular network.

Carrier Charges: You are solely responsible for any standard network, data, and calling charges applied by your mobile service provider while using the App.

3. Permissions and User Responsibility

To function correctly, the App requires specific system permissions, including access to your Contacts, Call Logs, Phone State, and the ability to draw over other apps (SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW) for the Caller ID functionality.

You retain full control over these permissions and can revoke them at any time through your device's system settings. Revoking access to Contacts, Call Logs, or Overlays will disable the core Caller ID functionalities of the App.

All sensitive communication data is processed strictly locally on your device. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the App complies with all applicable local, state, and national laws regarding communication and privacy.

4. Third-Party Services and Advertising

The App is provided free of charge and is supported by advertising. We integrate third-party Software Development Kits (SDKs) provided by Google to facilitate these services, monitor app stability, and deliver notifications.

By using the App, you acknowledge and agree that these third-party services may collect anonymous usage data and device identifiers (such as the Advertising ID) as outlined in our Privacy Policy.

Missed calls, call interruptions, or inaccurate Caller ID matching.

Service availability issues caused by device hardware limitations, Android operating system updates, or mobile network providers.

Any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use the App.

6. Modifications and Updates

We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue any feature of the App at any time to improve performance, security, or compliance with platform policies. Your continued use of the App following any updates constitutes your acceptance of the revised features and Terms of Use.

7. Termination

You may terminate this agreement at any time by uninstalling the App from your device. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate the App's services or future updates if required by law or platform policies.
