Privacy Policy

Overview

Contacts – Phone Dialer is designed to help users manage contacts, view recent call history, make phone calls, and identify incoming calls via our Caller ID feature while maintaining strict transparency and user control. This Privacy Policy explains what information our app accesses, how it is used, and the third-party services integrated into the app.

1. Information We Access and How We Use It

To provide our core functionality, the app requests specific device permissions. We strictly process sensitive data locally. We do not upload, store, sell, or share your personal contact or call log data with any external servers.

Contacts & Call Logs (READ_CONTACTS, READ_CALL_LOG): Accessed locally on your device to display your contact list, show your recent call history, and match incoming phone numbers to your saved contacts for the Caller ID screen.

Calling & Phone State (CALL_PHONE, READ_PHONE_STATE): Used to detect when your phone is ringing so the app can trigger the Caller ID screen, and to allow you to initiate outgoing phone calls directly from the app's dialpad or contact list.

Display Overlays (SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW): Used exclusively to display the Caller ID interface securely over other apps when an incoming call is detected.

Foreground Processing (FOREGROUND_SERVICE): Ensures the app can reliably perform call-screening and Caller ID matching in the background without being interrupted by the Android operating system.

2. Third-Party Services and SDKs

While your personal communication data remains strictly on your device, we use third-party SDKs provided by Google to monitor app health, deliver notifications, and serve advertisements. These services collect non-personally identifiable information and device identifiers:

Google AdMob (AD_ID): We use Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob collects and uses your device's Advertising ID and network information to serve ads. You can manage or opt-out of personalized advertising through your Android Device Settings.

Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics & Performance: We use Firebase to understand how users interact with our app, monitor performance, and log technical crashes. Firebase collects anonymous usage data, device models, OS versions, and crash traces. No personally identifiable information (PII), phone numbers, or contact names are ever sent to Firebase.

Firebase Cloud Messaging (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): Used strictly to send you relevant app updates or administrative alerts.

3. Data Processing and Storage

All contact and call-related data is processed locally on your device.

The app does not store contact or call data on external servers.

The app does not sell personal data.

The app does not share your communication data with third parties.

4. User Control

You remain in full control of how the app accesses your data:

Access to Contacts, Call Logs, Phone State, and Overlay permissions can be managed or revoked at any time through your device’s App Settings.

Note that revoking these permissions will disable the app's Caller ID and calling features.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

The app does not retain copies of your data outside your device. Any contact or call information displayed by the app reflects data already stored on your device's native databases. Uninstalling the app instantly removes all of the app’s access to this information.

6. Children’s Privacy

Contacts – Phone Dialer is not intended for children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in our features or SDK updates. Any changes will be reflected by the updated date at the top of this policy and made available through our app listing.

8. Contact Information
